Divine Light: A Frank Mason Perspective, is a half-hour documentary of the life and work of renowned New York City painter and Art Student’s League ‘Master Teacher,’ Frank Mason.

We travel with him from his studio above Café Roma in Little Italy, New York to Venice, Italy where he views the highlight of his career.

There his paintings hang in the 11th Century Church of San Giovanni di Malta where Bellini’s work graces the altar. When back in New York, Mason visits Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral and reflects on his life as an artist. He contemplates the true meaning of his powerful painting ‘Resurrection’ which hangs behind the altar.

Frank Mason is a stalwart painter and teacher who still believes in the Old Masters’ techniques and styles that seem lost in the modern world.
